The movie shows how the war has an impact on young people - how?

In English class we watched the movie “In the Valley of Elah” The theme of the movie was war and the plot was that a old man was looking for his son, who was missing from his military camp. He tried to report it to the police, but they would not take the case because he was in the military. It was their job to find him. A few days later lots of body parts where found by a road near the military base. It was the missing son. Then the journey of finding out what had happened to him and who had done in, begun. The old man visited the base the son used to live on. Here he met his sons friends and he talked a lot whit them. About the war, his son and what had happened that night. And the old man was about to find out that the most trustworthy guys, might be the bad ones.

The movie shows how the war affected young people in many ways. When you first see the people who live on the base they don't exactly look very happy. They are serious, grown up men. This is how the war has made them. But more into the movie we see young boys, being young and immature. They go to strip clubs, talking shit and eating fast food. I think the movie tries to show that young boys in war tries to forget the bad thing they have experienced by acting more immature than what they would normally have been. One of the dead man's friends are talking to the old man and he says “I hated it over there, could not wait to get out. But after two week her all I want is to go back.” This shows what the war has done to young boys. They no longer know what to do whit their lives after seeing all the terrible things they have.

It is a great strong movie, and I recommend it to everyone.
